1) when is relapse planned
I'm sure this was a typo, but it seems very apt.

If I remember right, those 100 systems were all crucial to the deeply thought-out and satisfyingly complex intricacy of the lore behind Star Citizen.
They are all required to keep the player engaged in a believable, living, breathing universe at the utmost levels of fidelity possible.
Having only five systems (if we are lucky) would mean that the lore is either 95% superfluous, or that 5% of fidelity is sufficient.
I'm not sure which is worse![]()
Is the MMO part of the game, excluding SQ42, supposed to be a open world sandbox, make your own story type of affair? If so there likely won't be a problem from a story point of view. I sincerely doubt they had plans for some huge story that would encompass 100 systems.
As for SQ42, what possible knock on effects will there be for having such a small universe? To be frank, I don't really know how much these types of changes are likely to affect the single player part of the game, if at all.

Back in 2012 Penny Arcade called Star Citizen a bad bet.

Edit: I added the article.
All that fidelity and there's no animation for a commando pushing a crate?
Let me guess! Another concept sale?
