I'm a strong critic of SC indeed but I always make it clear that it is because of my personal preferences and tastes.
I simply never enjoyed Wing Commander series, much to my dismay because I really wanted to like such a generally liked franchise. I found them uninspiring because of the lack of "feeling" of actually being in a spaceship (hence my strong opinions about Elite Dangerous needing at least some realistic features that give that feeling and immersion).
But they were one of that franchises I recognized it was very good, just me not being able to enjoy it to the full. And I think the same about Star Citizen. Looks fantastic, the concept is great, the ideas behind it too, but in the end I'm sure the unrealistic controls will mean I won't be able to enjoy it as many others will.
But that doesn't mean the game is bad. Means I have my own tastes

.
The thing is that dunno exactly why everyone expects competing or similar themed titles to have communities that hate each other. As a YT producer who puts up a lot of War Thunder content (War Thunder is a F2P aircraft game with a pretty strong realism component built into it) I see everyone is expecting me to hate on World of Warplanes (WoWP is another F2P aircraft game, in beta, that has absolutely no realism whatsoever and is just an aerial-based arcade game with no further pretensions.). And I don't get why should I. I for sure won't ever enjoy WoWP while I love War Thunder to bits - but that doesn't mean that WoWP has to be a bad title. It can be an incredible game, it's just aimed at a public with different tastes and expectations than mines.
I'm reconforted and happy to see the SC community has such a positive view of Elite Dangerous, and that the opposite is also the case. Nonsensical hating wars for such unreasonable reasons are pointless imo.
