Star One reached at last

How do you make a 68ly ASPX
I have exactly this build. Still, Coriolis shows it a bit wrong. I can actually jump longer distances by downsizing the Power Plant. However, if I make the power plant smaller, heat management becomes difficult despite engineering. Finally, if I complete a few shortcomings in my ASPx production, I can easily skip 69-69.5 ly i think.

Was it the Liberator that got there first? That would be fitting.

For the record, it was a huge mistake when they re-cast Travis. ;)

I think the Andromedan shapechangers' scouting party got their first, but we're not allowed to talk about it.... oops, I mean, yes Travis II, totally indistinguishable from the original (not)...

Thats a lot of engineering i suspect - i have now idea how to get the guardian jump booster ?? Cos me is a noob
It's a matter of taste and opportunity. I don't think you have to do that, even my humble ASPx build might not be necessary for you. Any ship that can bounce between 50-60 ly on average can reach almost 99% of the galaxy.

What I want to say is that you don't need to overwork yourself or have super heavy engineered ships, just start somewhere. Step by step.... :)

WOW! B7 fans, I thought we were all extinct :D Way back in 2009 I modelled a fair amount of the liberator (all corridors, bedroom, bridge and teleport) and put a simple fps game engine to it. As it's so old, you can imagine that it's pretty low res for todays standards, however maybe I can resurrect it, update the grpx and put it into a more modern engine (maybe godot) and even slap a VR option in there too(given any interest). Here's a screenie from years ago......

Lovely work! I know someone who has done some Blakes 7 games for Roblox. A bit blockier, obviously, but playable enough.

Thanks!
I searched through my old HD and found a version of it in a reasonable state. It was written in Blitz3D and is suited to the old 'square' sized monitors (maybe I can toggle the 'full screen mode' off) - If I can get my website up and running I'll post a link to a downloadable exe asap.
There is one slight problem with it though, and that it's just a simple "walk around the ship" program - in other words, there is no actual shooting, opening panels & inspecting plants (eg cacti on Zonda) involved in the game - and we all know from ED:Odyssey that simply walking around a ship is not what people want. :p

You may be happy to hear that the forthcoming Passage to Andromeda Expedition is heading out to Star One!
Apart from being an epic trip, it's a celebration of the Elite Exploration community and everything its achieved over the years.
And you CMDR Cral Travis will be one of those Elite Explorers to be honoured.
