Star Wars: Outer Rim (board game)

I wish I was English like my hero Tj.
I highly recommend this board game for anyone who is either a Star Wars fan and/or a fan of Elite. You do the same kind of stuff you already love in Elite - cargo delivery, smuggling, bounty hunting, dodging or fighting patrols, gaining money and fame... It even has a solo mode. ;) The Star Wars theme is very well realized and the game mechanics are solid. The only negative that's been an issue for me so far is the playtime, which can be rather long.

Corey K has designed some of my favourite co-ops, Space Hulk Death Angel, Gears Of War Boardgame, and Eldritch Horror. I’d love to pick this up but I’ve a couple of games yet to hit the table and I’m wary of building up a cardboard backlog to match my digital one :)

If you like spacy board games then I’d recommend https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/183571/deep-space-d-6 which combined with its free solo RPG expansion (The Long Way Home) essentially makes it into FTL The Boardgame.

Also worth searching out a pdf of and printing out: https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/8411/star-wars-corellian-smuggler - it’s one I’ve wanted to give a lick of spit&polish to, but never seem to find the time or mojo.

Yeah, I've played and enjoyed several of Corey's games like Eldritch Horror, Battlestar Galactica, and a couple of his earlier Star Wars titles.

Thanks for the link to Corellian Smuggler! I'll have to give that one a shot.

Thanks for this, always looking for more games to play.

Our family plays Catan. Simple, but interesting.

My son (16) and I play Scythe. My daughter (13) and wife can't be bothered to learn it.
