starry night, but only on the left side

Hi there,

I've started off on an exploration trip towards the core, doing pretty much a straight line from Sol to Sag A*. Currently i'm at coordinates ~ 0,300,13000 and for the last 2000ly i notice that the left(clockwise) side of the sky is filled with stars, the right side not so much...
Screenshot looking at the core from current position:

Does anybody know what causes this? Has anybody else noticed this? Is it a bug? I tried checking for amount of OBAFGK star amount was greater on the left but couldn't find notable differences in the galaxy map.

thanks,

Yep. You'll run into those fields of O's and B's. Right about your position is where you start picking them up. The hard edges are a little weird. As you get closer, they'll spread out. They're pretty dense, like the neutron fields, except these guys glow brightly. If Greae Phio nebula is in front of you, you'll eventually run through them. And it's a pretty sight!
