Newcomer / Intro Starting tips

Hi I'm new to this game and I am finding it really difficult to make beyond 15k, can you give me some tips on what items my ship should be upgraded to first and what missions I should choose? my starting point is lhs 3447

The credit earning potential in the first few hours are pitiful but stick with it and you can soon earn some real money.
Personally I got out of lhs 3447 asap to eravate and did the local board missions(haul this from a to b. And finding black boxes etc).
I think I pushed on until I had 100kcr, that doesn't take too long.. Then I purchased a hauler and traded some rares enough to get in a stock cobra.
After that the money started to realy go up on both earnings and paying out for upgrades.

Stick with it and after a few hours you will have a couple of Bob :)

Many thanks, are the black box missions the ones where you have to find signal sources? as I find myself flying for ages before finding one, also not seen any other players ingame as yet

Yes those missions. Not seen anyone in game.. Are you playing solo or open? If you are in open I would think around lhs 3447 there would be busy skies...

What's your CMDR name, I'll do in in game friendo and meet up with you. Maybe drop you a few ton of gold to help with your wallet :)
