State of Game after 4 years, multiplay is a Nightmare

I am nearing the last stage of your signature. Our of my 25 real life friends who played I am the only one who still logs in occasionally. But Elite has lost its luster, not saying I never got my monies worth, after thousands of hours in game since Alpha I am happy, but it is nearly that time to "move on" to something new. Elite's development seems to of lost its way somewhat, hopefully will find its way back on path in the future. And its still better than that "other other space game" we shall not mention here.

I definitely got my money's worth, though I do regret sinking too much $$ into cosmetics (never again). I enjoyed the game immensely when it first came out on PS4. Then came the bugs. And then came more bugs. The latest and last nail in the coffin was the recent changes to NPCs - the overly aggressive, yet clumsy AI and their engineered ships, which has ruined PvE combat for me personally. All I have left is exploration, which is why I'm not totally deleting the game, because I do enjoy exploration (in moderate doses), but ED used to be so much more.

what do you think guys.

I can tell you what I think about PvP.

  1. They never evolved their P2P structure to distribute dedicated clients, nor have they fixed any of the smaller issues that make up the majority of daily annoyances. Two years and not a single thing done. This is not just a PvP problem. This is alpha quality networking.
  2. 2.1 dropped and ruined all sense of balance and fairness. No modification since has helped. Health pools are insane, secondaries are cheese, the metas are very narrow and clearly defined, and newcomers have to grind it out.
  3. It's very common now that players will bring prismatics with 6+ boosters, leave the fight, reboot, and come back within a minute. No banks needed, no docking, no planning, and no backup necessary. Do it with a very fast ship and neither mines, gromms, or torpedoes will counter this. You have to have phasing, because if they are running energy weapons, they can literally pvp until they run out of fuel or do something very foolish.
  4. TLB and emissive. Not hard to deal with, but they haven't improved the game in any way.
  5. Short FSD cooldowns, interdiction submission, and non-existing mass lock factors have made it way too easy for commanders to ignore territory control and any attempts by pilots to protect their faction or fight for a side.
  6. Powerplay mechanics being available in solo and PG. Regardless of whatever promises or interpretations of them, this has ruined the game mode. Most aligned players are in it for the module shop or the benefit, not for the actual gameplay it would have otherwise provided.
  7. Multicrew hasn't worked since it came out.
  8. Clogging. Dedicated clients or the CQC method would have fixed this.

What do you guys suppose are the chances of these being addressed any time soon? I'd put my money on a 50% chance that only one of these things will see changes. I'm not convinced they're capable of anything more.
