Yeah, just requires a bit more paying attention. I've a Chieftain set up with Pacifiers and Cytos (hail Kumo) which is absolutely hilarious against T10s and Anancondas, but not so much against Vipers and the like. So pasting a big whale of a ship up close, then suddenly noticing that my shields are draining and having no clue where the @#$@# wingmen are amongst the madness wasn't overly great.
The moral of the story is just avoid going after wings in this thing until they sort it.
The console sadness has clearly infected the rest of the playerbase - look at the Steamcharts this morning!

fdev refuses to give players what they want: Cockpit cats, Playable Dredgers, Dangerous exploration content, dynamic expansion and contraction of the bgs, a thargoid war, full implementation of npc crew as human stand-ins, and narrative mystery/progression.
