State of the Game

think for this christmas we'll do ribeye steaks.

holiday dinners are pretty low key when you dont have to deal with family members being involved.
Low key is great! We had sushi yesterday, will have pizza tonight, and the main event tomorrow will be turkey for some reason. I never quite understood why the Murican national bird needed to be a Christmas thing elsewhere. Especially since we have perfectly good pagan Yule rituals of eating the livers of our enemies to adhere to.

:D S

In honor of the bretheren and sisteren (lol my phone now recognizes those) in her majesty's kingdom getting some fish and chips for lupper (mid afternoon here).

UPS delivered a helmet size box this morning. Not saying the x-wing helmet is in but...

game update/ CCSC: Still running on xbox! Hit tycoon with my last mining run and am collecting free stuphs in the continued holiday spirits

@brothernemo: the correct new england pronunciation would be: Saah-dah we like to drop both the l and r where we can (in addition to the occasional u)

My apologies for discussions the Christmas Tinner seems to have started with some.

Do you guys have anyone round mate? (Not trying to take the pish).
What do you get up to with nice weather - I can't comprehend not being pished on by the joyous weather down here!

no family on my side and hers are like a thousand miles away so visiting is infrequent...and much more so due to covid.

to take advantage of the usually always great weather we have paddle (foot pedel) canoes we take out into the ocean, hit the beaches, go paintballing. We haven't lived out where i'm currently at long enough to have much great outdoor weather and free time during the weekends ..but there are lakes out here instead of a nearby ocean. and there are lots of nearby mountains to hike and such. and we'll still probably paintball since it's actually closer to the fields.

It will be a quiet Xmas here as well........... just the way we like it.

Doing home made deep dish pizza and spinach pie for Christmas eve at home (we always had the feast of the fishes at my grandparents until they passed a few years back) then dinner at my brother in law's Christmas day. Unfortunately my mother cancelled (omicron) so i only get to go to 1 spot instead of the usual grand tour of rhode island. (The sibling punching will now also have to wait)

Cool stuff mate - it's nice that you can get out and do fun stuff. Shame about the family restrictions so to speak (although I imagine there are benefits like with most families!). I am jealous of your climate at times - we used to get snow here when I was a kid (which is only 30 years to be fair) at winter and often at Christmas, but we just seem to get the dull dirge of mizzle and cloud of 40-50 degrees in the last decade or so, which gets a bit depressing tbh!

I can't remember where you guys lived before, but wasn't it still in CA so the weather was similar?

I guess you can always spend some time in the sex pond if you don't want to go out?! ;)

i forget the comedian, but he had a thing about fish that was pretty on point.

fish is the only food where saying it tastes or smells like what it is, is bad.
I go with the ben franklin rule on fish "fish, like house guests (unless they're in the sex pool) need to be gone in three days". If the fish are still in the sex pond after three days you have to rename it a koi pond tho([u removed]gh). Or call the fish toys i guess. 🤷‍♂️

lol is that the one where they build a massive wall and let the residents of Govan run wild?

Yea it's a docu.

That's the one. They are like Scottish mad Max people. It was on the national geographic channel.

yea, about an hour closer to the coast though... on the other side of a small mountain range in orange county.

that's the idea. at least when it's warmer.

Coolio :)
