Is the game still alive? I didn't play elite for like 4-5 months now but usually check the forums for something new. I see no any news or upcoming updates with new content. Also steam charts don't look promising so I was wondering if the game is abandoned.
According to some forum members, the game has been dead since before it launched...
Of course it is, I've not played since this morning!
If you have missed that U17 is due in a couple of weeks, well, I guess all is lost then!
Why does the game have to have new content for you to play? Plenty to do as it is.

If the game was alive for you 5 months ago, then it’s as alive now as it was then.
At the risk of veering dangerously close to "The state of the game"... back playing after a few years off as Oddy wasn't playable for me in VR and pleasantly surprised to find it's running rather well and loving the atmosphere planets... good to be able to scratch the ED itch once more! (Antibiotics may be more effective... YMMV...)
