I ignorantly parked on a geyser in my buggy when they came out. I figured that as the others were going off, this one wouldn't. Few seconds later I went up like a frickin rocket!
But it got funnier. I was slightly used to orienting the buggy in free flight, so was looking down at my ship, at about 3km height....of course it then took off, going straight up....
It hit me and I went zipping off at an obtuse angle, but it wasn't enough to kill me. I lost total control of the orientation by now, and was just watching the altimeter - over 6km from geyser and ship ramming on a decent g world.
I let the stick go in the end as the spinning was going to make me puke. So, the expected ending occurred, and I was back in the ship.
Happy days all round, and there is no way I could have done it if I'd tried - if only I thought about videoing it!
