State of the Game

ponders if he should create a support ticket.

Ever since odyssey, everytime i goto launch elite, I end up launching a different game instead. It's extremely reproducible. A lot of other players are having the same problem too.
It looks like you are trying to launch Elite Dangerous: Odyssey

Would you like some help with that? Yes Yes

Just lots and lots and lots of tiles, sloped tiles and a few more tiles :D
Ouch - Sounds expensive! Are you deciding to go studless?

I'm on the verge of making the difficult decision to go with curves on my space station modules - they look better but the pieces weren't available in the 70's / early 80's.
I've also found that a number of my 70's bricks are in a poor state, and becoming brittle so perhaps I could use that as an excuse.

Its was always going to be as studless as possible- the problem was always either bricks sideways or tiles on plates. Both approaches are good and bad.

Everone seen this one?
Oh yes. And commented. I was good too, Barry was sleeping at the time....

interesting, some day they'll get that whole beta process "test changes and get it all right before pushing to production" thing too. But it's definitely an improved process from "test in production, release and forget" like they were doing.

Yeah...
No other software house would dream of doing such a terrible thing, would they?

Hey @Rubbernuke - you may even get to have me come gank you on-foot in the near future... Cool! 🥳 🍻(y)

to be fair, i've never seen another game or even software publicize their beta's and then leave a bunch of identified issues with the new features or regressions specifically introduced in the beta and release it anyway. That's been an elite dangerous exclusive in my experience.

like they had language?

unlikely.
they don't need a language for that - whatever he could say will be "wrong" in the first place, if he compliments her, it won't be good enough and if he doesn't, he can sleep alone for a longer time. If she has to ask, he didn't pay attention to her good enough before anyway - so whatever he can say will be wrong, just positive action helps here.

🤷‍♂️ of course it is...

fallout 76 is an example how to do that and then in the follow up screw those over, who had paid the most for their version of it (f.e. canvas bag gate, rum bottle gate). Lying and deceiving and in the end on top of it feeling insulted when people called them out for their lies and deception.

Ah - but the fun is imagining that first conversation between the two of them after getting chucked out of Eden...

"Does my bum look big in this?"
"It's all your fault.
You shouldn't have left me alone with this loooong snake tempting me.
I wasn't planning anything, it JUST HAPPENED.
You know how emotional and spontaneous I am, you always loved that about me,
so you have no right to be angry at me now.

Anyway, kids are hungry, don't come back until you get something to eat.
Make me happy, so I can make you happy later..."

well that would track. since the only first person shooter type games i've purchased/played in the past 15+ years is borderlands (the various versions) and bioshock (the various versions)
