State of the Game

Great for after work pint in the pharmacy, to go home and then go out again.

O happy times!

Years and years of hedonistic excess :D

I can clearly remember the very first winter ball I went to in my first year at the pharmacy. Within ten minutes it was triple gins and cigars and other mischief.

If I tried that level of partying today I'd die.
urgs, 3 gin in ten minutes - my rule is start slowly and speed up - the other way round it makes incredibly drunk - liver needs a bit of a warm-up phase.

3 4 4 6 - for the first 4 hours - is a good measure - plus those inevitable pints of course.

The bar staff gave up soon after and let us do our own drinks.
I worked in a bar during my student years - guests like that have their own bottles and often special glasses, that their drinking habits aren't that obvious. I inherited a glass of that kind from a really nice lady, who came at least twice a day, downing half a bottle spanish brandy (veterano) each time. A smart lady, but not in regards to drinking behavior.

She made my life so much easier at that time, because I got about 50 to 100 euros tip money from her each time she came - she must have been wealthy to finance that.

Me and my best bud from college worked a summer at restaurant above a marina here. Alot of those types. One retired guy would come in for lunch all the time and have a bottle of moet usually by himself but occasionally w/ a lady friend.

Speaking of decadence that was a great summer and ended w/ me telling the owner of the restaurant what for after we "dared" accepted an invite to hang out at a boat at the marina after shift. He lived there on a big cabin cruiser. Went back the next day, sunday so the place was open, to "clean out my locker" and wasn't there. I told the manager, another friend, to tell the little mouse i was disappointed he didn't have it in him to come out of his hole. After i had verbally gone up on side of him and down the other ending with calling him a little, little man the night before. Ah good times.

Maunsel House never let us come back though, so high were the jinks :D

Dude, I'm pretty sure that is the place that banned us after our first year student ball - translate as "mashup" party! I studied in bath, and the name just rings a bell, but I could be wrong?!

I have an idea and frankly it's disgusting that it's not been suggested before!

Bobblehead Braben as next weeks mascot!

It does give us the opportunity to make some diy memes, and we'll have to be clever to get around any TJ risk - sounds like fun!

seems a bit self serving.

You would know.

I love nostalgia for things we'd never dream of doing now that we are older!
