Who's to say what is and what isn't appropriate with different cultures and different customs. thousands of populated worlds, some removed from the cultures of earth for hundreds to over a thousand years. I'm sure the range of appropriate in ED time spans a degree that nobody on earth today can relate to. It would be like multiplying the variety found geographically by the variety found over a thousand years at all of those locations.

Multiplacation was never my strong suit so you'll need to temper your own surety on this subject.

(No, I did not spell it wrong, though it might be a made up word.)

Why would i temper my surety on subjects based on your expertise in them?

If multiplication doesn't suit you, think of it more as an integral of variety over time summed for each geographical location

I get the impression that Nemo was politely saying "whatever..." - as in he was ending this conversation.

I will add that it's probably out of boredom, but that's just my hunch.
