Is that actually true though Ian? Genuine question - I'd have thought there would be a point (and I'm not sugesting it's been reached yet, or that making that decision is anything to do with me) where it would be considered spam, which I did think was against the forum rules, i.e. I'm sure I've seen people warned for it previously.

as for the thread, it is a reflection of the game, and as such is entirely serious about a fictional thing. however the people within are part of that game and so, are unreliable observers existing in a fiction.
taking fiction seriously is how cults work. you'd hope the thread responsible for tracking the state of the game would not consist of the kind of person who treats fictional events and activity as real.

Spam is either posting the same post in multiple threads to get their pointr noticed, or posters trying to promote illegal passports/driving licences schemes, to improve your love/sex life, or generally to promote a company via links (sometimes hidden in a full stop at he end of a sentence!)
Off topic is a post unrelated to the subject of the thread, or a thread in the wrong forum. But you lot are experts on that!
