State of the Game

Installed Horizons on the new laptop. Getting 144 FPS (limited).

The best way to play odyssey is to have never (or never) run the game in horizons mode. If you have no comparative perspective, your opinion of odyssey has been shown to improve significantly.

You just basically ruined any chance of being happy with odyssey without massive doses of selective blindness.

Booster get. Phone still says 4G. Scammed yet again!

Believe it or not the few times I switch to Horizons for whatever, it just makes me miss Odyssey. Despite it still being a bit of a janky mess, for me ED:O is an overall better experience than Horizons.

Yes, that's hardware limited by the laptop's native display.

My main box's monitor is limited to 60 FPS, because it's a 32' TV. Much cheaper option than some of our forum members are willing to spend. They think IMAX in the living room isn't enough...
Apologies. My comment was regarding the fact that you're playing Horizons...and this is State of the Game... ;) (all tongue in cheek)

Regarding TVs vs Monitors: I spent about the same 450 USD each for both our 65" 4K TV (3 years ago) and my 27" 1440p gaming monitor (one year ago)

And i think you're right, IMAX in livingroom is way OTT.

I concur. TBF I only had about 7 months of Horizons prior to Ody launch though.

Nothing like Wal-Mart. :)

I think the laptop can handle Oddy. The question is if I want to pay $40 for a game that I probably use only about 10% of the content.
