State of the Game

Just a general observation where you have about 200 pages of people (on this one https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threa...iling-repeating-not-procedural-random.577719/) circling rocks and hills. Not all explorers are mental, just a great deal of them.
Explorer here.

You're not wrong. I popped in that thread the other day just to stir the pot. I do think it's hilarious, though, that the guy says that the "tiling" or whatever is going to be the killer of exploration and then proceeds to post pictures of planets all within the Bubble. Travel much, didja? 🤷‍♂️

Anywho...who's the crying boy in the memes? I feel like they would be funnier if I knew the story.

I can...I can actually see a finish line now too.

Doing it now- I have probably 95% of the external tiles required now.

Excerrent plogress.

I think he's an internet kid who got memed for crying about something. He just has a very useful head for putting all over the place.

Granted I don't know this for certain, but I think I've seen it at some point in other places.

It might be Ender though, when his sex fence fell in his sex pond.

If the implication is that exploration isn't ruined from the getgo for the lack of gameplay involved in the "role" ...then I dont see how anything can ruin exploration for that person. Some copied texture seeds are bothering someone but not the useless nature of the activity to the game universe you're playing in? The patterns on a planet (many of which you can't even interact with) are a problem but the uneventful monotony of repeatedly moving around in supercruise and watching loading screens doesn't? Those people aren't explorers. Explorers are numb to such trivial things.

You must be new here, if you think the CMs post ...

Should be lots of rage and confusion in around 3 hours when the CGs hit and the explorers (who were given several months notice this would happen) realise they are going to miss out on new FSDs again ...
Those that care, I guess. Can’t we usually just buy those for mats later down the road? It’s also somewhat fun to come back after ages in the black and have your ship be completely out of sync with the rest of the game. I came back well after engineering was launched in an unengineered AspX. But CMDR Thrust from Bradford came back in a Cobra Mk I recently…
