Would you like to see station inventory/cargo space ?

I think being able to temporarily store cargo while you change ships is a great idea. The cargo that you can't pick back up can expire over time, let's say 20 minutes. That way, the ability to abuse it is diminished. I don't think we need a way to permanently store cargo or an unlimited space. Just a limited time frame to swap ships.

While I would like (and voted for) cargo space, I won't hold my breath. I'm a hoarder, so of course I want a place to hoard stuff. As far as people being able to stock up and break the BGS, we could do that now, though it takes a little more coordinating ;)

FDev want us to keep drunken pencil notes about where to find A rated collector limpet controllers.

Haha yeah I buy a new pad of post-it notes every time I get back into this game.

As for storage, I want it all. Those stations are pretty damn huge, if they can happily store several hundred of my ships without complaining or asking for hangar rent, they can damn well store a crate of precious biowaste or an fsd drive or two.

So it might upset the simulation if players get creative with their massive stores? Maybe it's not what FD wants, but maybe it's exactly what we need.

All these items require real life database and storage space to accommodate. That ain't cheap and the larger any database is, the slower it performs.

That's not really a plausible concern in this day and age. EVE has managed it for over ten years, I have thousands of items in my hangars there.

I voted other- I would like to be able to keep cargo during a ship change and so a storage where if you leave the port you lose the cargo, but when you are in the station you have your cargo stored somewhere allowing you to change ships would suit me just fine and prevent messing up the BGS

Again - there is not enough personnalization within Elite - no building or hording of any kind - these are more natural human instincts that the developers are ignoring...

Diminishing the human aspect of the game - making it as some would say .. "souless"...

I don't know. This seems like just a bunch of more stuff to have to manage and keep track of. Oh, so now, I have 3 tons of animal meat in Sirius and 12 tons of personal weapons in Sol. Did I leave that 3 tons of clothing in lt 6553 or ln 6563?

No building.
No storing stuff.
No cash exchange.
No player guilds/corporations.
No global/faction/guild chat.

"No" is what makes this game awesome. lol.

Yes but limited to modules and materials (I think materials should be part of the economy as I for one enjoy SRV scavenging but don't have a lot of use for the materials), currently the game has no issue storing a mining ship with dozens of drones or a combat ship with thousands of m-cannon rounds so what's the problem?

Other:
If we had a separate station for storage of cargo and modules the cargodumping effect would be reduced. From a practical standpoint this station would be like an outpost, no commodities or blackmarket. Zero G makes sense for stacking canisters and modules.
Place this station in proximity to an ordinary station, they could even be in the same instance, only 20 km apart or so would do.

I wish we can store ship with cargo.. it's not like they fold your ship when you store it.

But then station cargo can solve switching ships with cargo..

For cargo storage you essentially need a warehouse if so you need to rent the facility, how about 5000 credits per 100 tonnes each month or at a level required to reduce BGS manipulation.
