Steam and Epic client multi-account management feat. 3rd party tools like EDMC (question)

CMDRs if you know what trouble those can cause together, you can stop reading, just tell your experiences, otherwise a little story, any my questions:

I started my elite dangerous journey when i saw it is free in the Epic Games Store.(I just not learned fast enough to see the need to a 2nd account, to secure one more in time)
Today i watched a "random" twitch streamer, who ran a giveaway, and as lucky as i am, i won an Elite Dangerous Steam Key.

As i searched how it is possible to have both used, i found official guides ( https://customersupport.frontier.co...-AppConfig-Client-Log-Update-Log-Game-Folder- ) & ( https://customersupport.frontier.co.uk/hc/en-us/articles/360017685519?input_string=elite+dangerous:+multiple+account-+management+specifics), but i still have questions to be answered:

As the first source mentions, a lot of files and folders are going to a seperate location depending if we use Steam, or Epic. Those directories all that matter? (I know, seperate frontier accounts for seperate commanders + if these would be from one source [standalone or steam or epic], a simple account shift would be enough)

I found only one directory for the "player journail". I expecting both installation would use the same file.
If it happens in series (one client/intallation working at a time), can it cause any conflict in case of i having problems, and the problemsolving support request access to this file?
If i maybe one day would like to use both version at the same time, can i run into any kind of trouble (other than my PC not being able to run both versions/instlments at the same time, just because of lack of power), i mean mostly to the programs using same files somewhere, while running?

If the player journal is the only thing what can cause a conflict (beinng used by both instalmet, even in series), can i in some way redirect one or both instalment, to generate/use the journail from an other directory, or that path is hardcoded, and my best bet to use a seperate windows-user profile for the best overal results?

How these changing if is would like to be a good boy, and use EDMC-like third party tools, what read game data, and uploads to be used by the community?

Thank you for your patiente, and help!

PS.:
Any recommendation how to live with 2 accounts?

PS2.:
I mostly find out standalone multi account topics, or steam version, or combined... Steam+epic not yet met with my eyes...

PS3.: I would like to seperate the 2 journeys from the "must have" seperate commanders, up to all the thirdparty log-accounts, unless there is a ponint in the middle where it is -by experience- not worth the seperation (e.g. EDSM discoveries + pathing playback maps, etc)

No need to worry about the Journal files, the game fully segregates these based on internal ID. 3rd party tools likewise allow you to switch between accounts based on that. Config files for graphics, bindings etc. are shared so unless you want a different setup for your alt that works out fine a swell.
The only part where you might encounter a problem is with the transient files ("%USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\*.json"). These hold temporary info like status flags, current ship stats, selected route and so on. Not a big deal but if a tool depends on data in these files they might react a bit strange for a moment. Usually that sorts itself out though once the game is loaded.
Running two or more copies at the same time should be doable but nothing I can comment on. I've seen a thread or two on that but don't have any hands on experience.

Each journal file gets your commander name written into it. Each journal file gets its own timestamp in the name. If you run two commanders (and you'll need obv different names for each commander) then tools, such as my Elite Dangerous Discovery, will distinguish between the lots of both commanders and allow you to select one or the other.

The UI files status.json is written during a play session and updated dynamically, and since you'll probably be only playing one commander at a time, it will be fine.
