Forum goers obsessing over other players playing the game the way they want to because its they are making too many credits has done more to hurt the playerbase than every "gib space legs naow pls" thread has ever done to help it.
Reporting a credit exploit and getting proven right because it actually was an exploit that got patched is legit and fair. Hating on a person who reported it, while still thinking its a legit way to play even though it was patched by the devs, is willfully ignorant and it has truly hurt the player base.

Just to clarify is OP ever going to play the game again? Is this one of those 'game is dead, I told everyone how to develop a game now but FDev didn't listen no you me and my toys are off' posts? Only as far as I'm aware, and contrary to the forum it does seem like the game will see out the summer?
