Still having the connection error to Franchise Mode

I can't connect to the Franchise server since the update last week. It gives me the: "There has been an error communicating with the franchise server, you will be returned to the front end menu."

I have tried everything. Restarting the game, restarting my PC, uninstalling the game multiple times, closing down everything but the game. Nothing works for me and hasn't since the update last week, I believe it was Thursday 14th?

I tried on my cousin's computer the other day and it worked perfectly fine. I've looked into it and it seems Frontier have had (and apparently still have?) some issues with their profanity filter. But no matter what I change my franchise name to I still cannot connect to the franchise server on my own PC, let alone get into the menu so I can actually edit the name of my franchise on my own PC. Does this still have anything to do with the profanity filter? I didn't play the beta so it can't be because of that.

Please fix this, Frontier. I haven't been able to play franchise for such a long time now.

I'm actually thankful someone else has the same issue I have. I've also tried everything. I cannot get it to work at all and it's so frustrating!!
 
same. the only way to play is to disconnect Steam, but that will only allow Campaign/Sandbox. Franchise is borked atm.

It's pretty cool to pay for a game and then have the developer put out a faulty update that locks you out. 10/10!
 
I actually managed to open franchise yesterday after the minor update with the cost of feeding the animals. Today, sadly, I'm back to not being able to connect to the franchise server.

I had hoped the small update would fix but it hasn't.
