Horizons Stranded with no thrusters

I was just attacked and now I'm floating in space with thrusters off line, no movement possible at all. Am I screwed, is there a way out other than self destruct and pay the insurance?

Go to your functions panel and reboot/repair should get you up and running

Repeat at least a second time before your self destruct. Sometimes, they need to be kicked 2 times until they work again.

The indicator to the left of the panel by thrusters has a line through it, it does not respond to anything, also I don't have repair facility. I think I go bye bye!

Them figures are easily achieved using one of the big 3 and MCG bulkheads.

The question is...how did OP get to a big 3 level ship (with money for MCG bulkheads) and have never seen/heard of the reboot option...?

I'm flying an Anaconda and I've never had the need to do a reboot before. I'm also Elite in combat but I have been away from the game for about six months and still feeling my way back. I was jumped by another Conda whilst carrying a cargo of Gold and I was a bit slow responding. Thing that intrigues me is why he didn't finish me off when I was a sitting duck. (it was a NPC)

I've had to do that while fleeing under attack (reboot) in order to escape!

Lol, yeah, reboot/repair is a life saver.

Additionally, if that fails, quit to main menu and log back in again, then reboot and repair again.
Sometimes stuff just gets stuck.
Cargo hatch bug is still around somewhere, catching unaware victims off guard. Lol

j/k...though I wish reboot had more negative effects in exchange for saving your butt
