It's just an interactive map of all the satellites we've left up there, including bits of debris and space junk, shows where it is and if you click on a piece shows what mission it came from

Ah I see - thanks for that info.

I just don't enable websites that require scripts to run for any functionality when I don't know what the website is about.
 
There is a lot of stuff up there, including pieces of destroyed objects, tools, and old rockets. As I understand it, it can be one of the main hazards of putting new satellites in space. I assume they have collision avoidance systems/programs. I would be curious to know about what it takes to make satellites work these days.
