Submit hopping and mass inhibition

You're making some good points muffindrake, and I'm not even a pirate. I haven't really been tempted into piracy because it is a lot of work for little reward plus it seems there is a lot of misplaced aggro towards players honestly trying to play the profession as it was intended. It feels like piracy needs some sort of improvement.

This applies to any case where your ship might have a lower MIF.
Python have second place in MIF factors, so flying python let you pirate any ship except conda.
Piracy already carries a significant risk in the form of punishment by bounty hunters
are the persecution by (player) bounty hunters
There's a pretty low chance to get to the same instance to bh.(if you're not in high player populated systems). Most of bhs farming npc-pirates in RES.
the hostility of police
Even in highsec police is passive. They're not chasing players at all. It's very simple to escape from police.
the very bad tools
What tool do you need?
poor profit
Your profit mostly depends on your skill.(and luck)
time investment in the form of a conda which would take a ridiculous amount of time
Take a look at exploring, or other professions. If you don't like your current profession as it is mb this profession not for you? Is just profit is that importaint for you?(who needs gameplay?)
Meh casuals and their problems...

So what you are asking is for FD to make it easier for you to kill other players???

Really I submit straight away so I don't have a long cool down so what you are saying is I shouldn't get this option to make your life easier to make my life harder???

Sounds legit...

As far as I can see it's all just tinkering one way or another trying to balance the unbalanceable player pirate v trader interaction.

As things stand at the moment it's essentially a voluntary interaction. Which in my case means I do interact with pirates in my Anaconda precisely because I don't have to.

Sometimes that means a chat, sometimes I'll drop cargo, sometimes I'll even have a tussle which very occasionally has ended up with the insurance screen for me.

If the mechanics changed to the point where I felt like I had no choice I would just go back to what I did before I got the survivable ship and just avoid player interdictions entirely.

Trading is risky. Keep it risky of piracy. It's Elite Dangerous.
But, and a big but(t): For christ sake add a hail message before interdiction(if you slow down and jump out the security vessel will jump out too with you) giving you a choice to pull over freely, or go with your business, and they may interdict you or let you be if you're not THAT important.

Basically, everyone interdicting you without hailing is a pirate, and that would remove some of the frustration I've had when some random bounty hunter targets and interdicts me.

With players theres another story, but for the sake of common sense, npc's should have a little overhaul of their interdiction habits.

if they do make it harder to escape pirates, instead of at least having a chance at them, the traders could just go solo when they have valuable cargo and you would be completely out of luck.
