Submitting to interdiction for fun and profit...

When I'm running delivery missions in my Python I will usually submit to blow up the pirate and manually scoop the mats, but if I'm in a rush or just don't feel like combat at least it's easy to evade.

I don't bother with collector limpets because they waste cargo space and I can manually scoop everything up before they expire. It helps to partially fill in the time waiting for shields to recharge between encounters - it's usually four Anacondas in row and I prefer to make sure my shields have fully recharged before the next one.

What kind of delivery missions are you doing? Sounds interesting.

It's just the "Deliver X units of Y" or "Source and return X units of Y". They're usually quick and simple to do. I mostly do them for the reputation. If they come with pirates the pay is much better! The mats are a bonus.
That, and for the bonus 'Conda mat-bags, be sure to pick the "Elite" ranked ones.

I always enjoy it when I get the "incoming mission critical message". Huzzah, Meals on Wheels have arrived! :)

If you are 'blessed' with elite rated Anaconda hunters they are a pretty reliable source of PI's and other G5 mats, along with the tat of course.
I have stacked 20 elite rated long-distance courier missions in the past, providing up to 18 elite anacondas willing to donate... Deal with the spawning hunters before setting out in the exploration ship to deliver to Colonia...

I'm going to have to start carting around some ore in my hold for interdiction occasions. I'm getting a wee bit tired of submitting to these NPC pirates only to have them run away from me and jump out. I wonder if it's because of my Type 10. I even manage to hit them before they get too far away and you'd think they would stick around because their honor was besmirched. Nope, they just keep running for some reason.

"Next time you should fill your hold with gold"

I just couldn't tell you where I heard THAT! ;)

This.

The only down-side is that you end up reflexively submitting to interdictions, even when it's not a good idea. :p
Oh gosh this so much. Did this once in my trade cutter and kept trying to switch over to my KWS and weaps and oddly they were both missing?!?!? Then I realized, duh, you're not in the vette there is far too much polish in this cockpit for anything made by Core Dynamics. That, and you're still drifting sideways....
