suggestion : make the galaxy background spectacular

Flying around in supercruise and exploring disapoints me a little on how "empty " the background looks like. Im not talking when you enter a asteriodfield but when flying around. Blackness with blue yellow stars, i dont know guys, but it looks boring and uninspired to me, looking aroound my cockpit reminds me im not playing a 8bit game in terms aof visuals and art design.
I played Eve Online and the background of the galaxies were absolutely spectacular, nebulas made the scenery more alive and it made me to want to go and to leave my safe harbour and explore the galaxy.

Suggestion : put more beautifull nebulas in the background, let me stop from the supercruise and let me admire the beauty of the galaxy, like a spacetourist who wants to be grasped by the scenery. And not some black background with windows 95 yellow blue dots. No offence but it makes ED ugly.

So give the Galaxy background more than blacknes.
Thank you very much to take this in consideration

I agree, but the game is based on an 8 bit game and so the graphics try to represent that game from 1984, it is done on purpose, but it is very dated looking.

It's already pretty damned colorful, what with the Milky Way lighting up half the galaxy and the nebulas everywhere. No need to go overboard. I want it to look like space, not a Kandinsky painting.

The game is based on a realistic depiction of the sky down to real star locations, sorry if reality isn't colorful enough for you but thats the way it is... If you travel further afield you might find the sort of backgrounds you are looking for, just become a explorer and travel 5,000 light years towards something interesting.

What? Did you ever look up? Bursting with colors huh! Its not a dated look, it tries to be realistic.

This is my only aspiration, get an asp. kit it out and sail into the black, don't know if I'm ever coming back. Burn the land and boil the sea, you cant take the sky from me...ahem.

You're very wrong, please investigate before posting. The Universe is base on realistic data from NASA, you can compare to the actual night sky. Space is black, however you can find all those beauties in the game if you look for it.

If you can't see the milky way when you need to adjust the graphics settings... It looks pretty darn spectacular when you do get it to show, and there are distant nebulae.

Your screenshots looks like you that've the quality turned down.
