Suggestion: option to deactivate automated information in chat-box

Hallo,

I would like to have the ability to disable automated messages individually, like:
  • CMDR XXX has come online
  • CMDR XXX has gone offline
  • Entered Channel: Sol
  • ...
IIlryrx.png
and the best solution would be if, in addition to the chat, the filelog would not write down this data (for save space on my pc).
the problem is, if i chat with friends, my chathistory gets lost in automated messages, sometimes i dont care who goes offline, but i would like to have a clean chat-window with only chat history.

thanks!

You can also change the various chat channels to be on separate tabs instead of all interleaved - but you already have some tabs setup so I'm sure you're aware of this.

Maybe they will get around to reintroducing the ability to hide local chat before I lose my rag and start attacking the top 1% of all liners out there?

:)

Ship-local comms should NEVER be broadcast System-wide. I kinda get it that they're wanting to make the place seem more alive, but regurgitating the same 5 lines over and over does NOT really work. Especially when it's "private" comms.

Having proper comms-chatter would be better: "Help, I'm under attack/out of fuel/..." (and then a way to highlight the corresponding POI) would be actually neat. (Even more so if it would occasionally be a decoy from a pirate instead), but again, it should be fairly rare.

Perhaps a way to "tune" in to various comms, such as a Truckers or Police channel. The Truckers band could give hints where to go for good trading opportunities, or danger hotspots to avoid. The Police band could give hints on where Pirate activity is. Etc. But it should be optional. I guess with such a system you could throw all of the current inane chatter into a "Party" channel.

Eh; getting a bit OT here!
