Suggestion: Playable Dinosaur DLC

Explanation and Introduction: This feature grants the player being able to control any dinosaur in a way how they want to, like a simulation but only for entartaining and not it's not too sophisticated and detailed... This is far aside from the game's main purpose and in fact adding something requires quite effort and some people find it unnecessary yet it is going to be a DLC so people who wants that feature in their game will have to pay to for it in order to access it's content. Also it would be quite entartaining. Let me tell you a short simple scenario of how this would look like in the game:
You're playing in Sandbox, you decided to make a 5-Star park... after you've done it you had started to get bored after a while and you wanted to get entartained again. You started to think and you've decided to destroy your park in a chaotic way! You had set the weather conditions to heavy storm and clicked on your Tyrannosaurus Rex. You saw the text "Control the Dinosaur" at the right bottom of your screen which also shows you the key you have to press in order to do that. You pressed the key on your keyboard/joystick and the camera angle changed, you had started to walk through the plains and you saw a gallimimus. You hunted it and then filled some of your hunger bar by eating it. You saw the notifications at the right upper side on your screen which were about the dinos that were killing your guests. You broke the fences as a T-rex and then entered the other exhibit. You started to run towards the Spinosaurus that was eating an Amargasaurus. Spinosaurus stopped eating and was staring at you. You had stopped running and started to walk. You roared at him and started to fight with him. You won the fight and roared again etc... and then you left the T-Rex and choose one of the Velociraptors that was eating one of you guests... You can make and expand the scenarios like that it actually goes on forever...

Specifications:
-Will be accesable only in sandbox mode.
-Simple controls and basic features.
-Dinosaur that you're controlling will still have simple needs such as Hunger and Thirsty and nothing more than that.
-When you control a dino their "Sleep" bar will be deactived/will stop.
-You'll be able to hunt or fight with the other dinosaurs, if you're the prey then carnivore dinosaurs will try to hunt you when they need to just like they do to the dinosaurs controlled by AI.
-If you're strong enough, you'll be able to break the fences.
-You can also kill and eat the guests.
-After you stop controlling, dinosaur will turn back to normal and will be controlled by the AI again.

That would be a nice feature sure.

But there is a thing, most of us has maybe not think over. let's see.... JWE1 Complete edition on Nintendo's Switch release date was the 3rd of November 2020.
After that they startet their work on JWE2 (Rich Newbold talked about it in their first monthly developement video).
So the team has just 1 year to create a complete sequel. That implements they have to crunch to keep the release date!
Gaming industrie goes a bad way since few years and in fact of that we have to be content with the little that is given to us

Hey Spinony!

Thank you for the suggestion. You've clearly put a lot of thought into this. Being able to fully control the dinosaurs in Jurassic World Evolution 2 would go against the spirit of the franchise and the central theme of the game itself, so we have no plans for directly player controlled dinosaurs.

Thanks for the reply!

I just thought that it would be a nice touch in the game that could let us to see the things from the dinosaurs' view. Franchise is likely to be diversed in terms of atmospheres and spirits, Jurassic Park: The Lost World and Jurassic Park 3 have a similar spirit that is different then the other JP movies. Let me explain, as you probably know there's a thing called Site-B also known as Isla Sorna, where all of the incubated dinosaurs are all roaming free around the island without any boundaries besides the ocean itself. Site-B was the place where the events of those 2 movies (TL:JP, JP3) took place and it gives that weird yet interesting atmosphere we didn't see at the other movies. I also understand the thought that it would go against the central theme of the game but it could go well as a bonus content intended for sandbox mode of this game, like an expansion, so it could still exist without interacting and corrupting the central theme. Also as I've seen in forums of other Jurassic Park games, this is one of the oldest dreams of the Jurassic Park fanbase. As I was checking one of the discussion forums of the almost 20 year old Jurassic Park park management game similar to Jurassic World Evolution (I have to mention here, that the game was released in 2003) which is called "Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis". I saw a lot of topics which some of the people were asking other players that if it is possible to control the dinosaur in the free-roam mode (called Site-B) of the game. So that was still a thing back in early 2000's. If we even look further into the past of it. Jurassic Park even got games which you were playing as dinosaurs. There is that fighting game completely based on dinosaurs called "Warpath: Jurassic Park (1999)" and there are arcade games like "The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997)", "Jurassic Park- Rampage Edition (1993)" where you break havoc as a dinosaur. So this feature can bring joy! I'd suggest Frontier to officially mention about and ask to the JW:E playerbase that if they want this feature in "Jurassic World Evolution 2"

It would be very fun, however. Would an "Escape your Park" mode be more in the spirit of the franchise?

Great thought and if I were you I continue to push your ideas, for future Jurassic world games because some of us gamers would not mind playing as dinosaur to roam and raise chaos for changes in later games. When they announce the next game make sure that you idea on top of their list, and we your fellow gamers will back you up for support because games to me are getting lame by the minute each time they are being release. However, the first JWE was 5-star master piece I hope some day that the next Jurassic evolution management will more reasonable. I another idea I thought of is under sandbox mode you mention before while playing as dinosaur you can eat any of the division group members who sabotage your park, and they will learn the consequence of their actions.

Maybe mutiplayer can come into this and players could be a dino under strict RP rules! Like players could test the park security and other vunerable areas or just provide for the dino and interact with other dino. But I think before this is done they need to make a very good complicated management system for everything or else these playable dino will be boring. You have games already playing as a dino so the important feature need to be worked on first.
