Summer DLC Speculation 2023

the porcupine could be Indian Crested also! I’d prefer African Crested or Cape (to mix with my meerkats), but Indian Crested is still likely and would diversify the pack’s continental rep a little!

The game now has THREE rhinos, including two from Africa. That's crazy overrepresentation, makes me think they'll be a lot more DLCs to come just to balance things out.

I would have prefer to get the African Spurred Tortoise for the "clone" spot. We havent recieved a new Tortoise since release.

Dromedary has a widespread range, and could be that the porcupine is from India?

Yeah, it could be hedgehog or echidna. But I really don't see Frontier giving us that over porcupine tbh and the "sculpture" looked a bit too long for those two.

The porcupine is also the only animal that I find ok now. The others, no idea are rather useless for me, so far, it may change while playing.
I hope for the Baboon and Secratary Bird...we will see tomorrow

the snake it's also really great for me but I think I would prefer something like Python and the other two are fine but listen it has porcupine then I'm not complaning

Not so hyped about the Rhino, but as much as those "easier to make" animals go, it will certainly make alot of people happy. Imagine the storm if it was the Coyote or Jackal.

Please don't jinkx it... I didn't even think about the jackal and now I can suddenly see a third clone included.

me too!!! I prefer it much more than Rhino or Camel.

Basically, porcupines are really difficult to animate and probably used up a lot of the animating budget. Hence, two generic re-skin animals (Rhino and Camel) that are still pretty high on meta wishlist.

Nah, that was a porcupine for sure. They made that porcupine "hair" they have on the sand animal´s head.

It also will have 3 camels now. I have no Problem with the Black Rhino. It Looks distinct enough from the other 2 Rhinos we have to me.

If they have chosen Nile crocodile over the African spurred tortoise I will scream so loud.

Also the pack is Africa-based (thus far) so the picks are probably gonna be like: dromedary, porcupine, black rhino, gaboon/horned viper + secretary bird (hopefully), baboon and sulcata tortoise (good timeline)/nile croc (bad timeline).
