Summer DLC Speculation 2023

is there more than zero chance that frontier will change their dlc model and release more expensive and much bigger dlc for example oriented specifically towards birds ?
Nothing’s impossible but I 100% wouldn’t hold my breath, especially at what we can presume is the tail end of DLC like this. Maybe we can look forward to something like that following a potential sequel release.

Im sure there is a chance, just dont know how high tho. Im sure people would buy it but idk.
I would be totaly down for an Aviary or Aquarium expansion

Guys we don't need to balance the continents in this DLC. As it stands the two largest deserts in the aorld are the arabian and saharan deserts, both underrepresented. It makes sense for them to be more represented in a desert dlc.
Counterpoint, the Amazonian Rainforest is likely the most well known rainforest on the globe, and "you -know-what-order-of-mammal"makes up a large part of that. Not that North Africa/Middle East doesn't need attention, it does, but so does the Amazon. Of course, that's not the point on this particular thread, other than to just note some balance that's needed.

I know there are going to be people shouting from the rooftops about “the same rig” for Dromedary and Black Rhino, but to me, I get sort of excited seeing similar species because it tells me Frontier doesn’t want us to “settle” on what we have. Some people may prefer one rhino over the other and thats valid. But I feel like they have a right to be in the game as much as any other animal.

Name another zoo simulation game that had two types of camels and and both black and white rhinos.

What is even better, is that the Black Rhinoceros would have a prehensile upper lip, to help it browse on higher vegetation, and its head sits higher than the other two rhinos we currently have, so there would be a few changes made to compliment these differences, I would hope.

a reskin just wouldnt cut it.... the black rhinoceros is a unique individual species

yall... do you think they are starting to close out the game by adding animals that have been requested and shown ingame decor??
crazy theory. dont think they will until the tassie comes out tbh

you can never have too many!
(never forget the third planet zoo rhino, the indian rhino)
Of course, yes. I was just stating what ZT2 had, is all.
If the black rhino is indeed coming, I'd be ecstatic and I'd consider the rhinos complete. It seems like the perfect "clone-filler" animal for this DLC

We know there dhould be dlcs throughout the year, which means at least a fall and winter dlc. Beyond that it's yet unknown.
Something to keep in mind with that, Frontier may want to re-use rigs, at least as a starting point, for some of their more challenging to design animals. Penguin, Otter, Gibbon, Wallaby(Resized Kangaroo base)...obviously there's a few that wouldn't work for like the Platypus, which are especially unique, but I could see them giving us the Cape or Indian Porcupine down the road if content lasts long enough. Since I have the feeling it's probably going to be the "work intensive" animal for this pack. Assuming it is the Crested Porcupine of course.

Well we got the Red Deer last year for the anniversary, there is still a few species that still lack an in game counterpart, namely the King Cobra or Indian Cobra, and the Howler Monkey.

So the update looks pretty meh too me. Not much I really care about. Changing staff colors is cool, but that's about it. I don't know what I'd really do with the camera features.

As for the DLC, I feel like it's gonna be an african/north african animal pack or something.

I hope the Dromedary doesn't use the same model as the bactrian, because it sucks lol

Black Rhinos are super hype though, I really hope they're in because I wanted to have the three major species in game for a while (Indian, White and Black).
