Dang I really would contribute if this was any 'normal' couple of weeks, but I just have too many games I'm invested in.
Clair Obscur: E33, and the Oblivion remaster are just hoovering up all my free time. (I'm laughably bad at Expedition 33 but the story/production design is really good!)
I think this is what's known as an 'embarrassment of riches'. (Game Pass is really helping the wallet as well...)
Typical: Personal gaming shortage since Xmas and now games are raining from the sky, and fun things to do in Elite as the cherry on top! /sigh

Eh eh, I am quite the opposite: I was on a roll, playing/completing one new game after another, watching movies, anime, planning to read new chapters of some books I starte din the past...and then I was like "Eh, why not try again ED after my 8-year long break"...and now, I'm stuck with it

I believe there are platinum hotspots in some metal-rich ring(s?) of the local system.
So you can deep-core mine platinum there.
Now, it's way faster to laser-minute platinum in a metallic ring, but you can't do that in the local system.
If the CG asked to mine and sell platinum both in the local system, that would be a different story...and I would have much prefer this for many reasons...

I flew up to it, sat on it and now I want to add it to my bookmarks so I can quickly select it when flying back. But I can't figure out how to do it
You must select it when you are in the system...bad when gankers are flying around, but just fine if you depart from your Fleet Carrier parked in the system (lucky me B-)

Select it from the navigation tab in the left hand panel as a target to travel too. Not as a bookmark.
That's understandable, it's just that I'm usually more comfortable clicking a bookmark right away, especially when making my way from another system.
And I am very surprised that it is IMPOSSIBLE to do this.
It is presumably in the same class of objects as the Trailblazer megaships and Colonisation ships which are also unable to be bookmarked and don't show on maps. I think someone said it is because they are POIs.

Cm'on, it's not that bad, guys. But yep, I wish I could bookmark RES's, CZ's, specific coordinates on planetary bodies, etc...
I had trouble finding The Undeniable, went flying around rings of planet 2 for about 1/2 hour, then went further away and found it by setting all filters to ON and it appears.
Targeted it and flew to it but it is in orbit around moon 1 B (Moon B of Planet 1 in LP 855-34).
