COMPLETED CG Support Patreus's Interests in Chi Eridani (Combat)

Is it that bad?
Between the usual heavy load from colonization and now a CG in the pipeline, I guess the servers are screaming.
Oh well, I can't play until 10pm US Central today...the load should be fine by that time :-/
Same - about 5 times last night. Was really worried I'd log back in to a rebuy. Few of my kills got counted so I just gave up in the end.

To do this:
1. Roll up in an SRV and select your side via the comms panel.
2. Get out, win the round, board your SRV and quit to menu.
3. Log in and repeat.

But why not stay in the SRV to take advantage of the more powerful shields and guns? I've tried clearing a crash site of hostile NPCs (in a Scarab) and it works pretty well.

I first sided with the Empire, and my contributions got stuck for a while ar zero, the ~300k, then suddenly jumped to 5+ millions...maybe some la with the servers?
I then sided with the other side and got stuck at zero...I will let it sleep and see tomorrow.

Hey, I also rerouted a capital ship by taking down all its heat relays...quite a hassle to hit them at super close range while tanking a hell of a fire (had to reboot my shield a couple of times...quite surpised, seems like weak disco lasers against NPCs...) I did not see how many credits I got for that...is it worth the hassle.

Last but no least, does the Empire has it hard? It was easy peazy to clear the CZ high when I sides against them, and did not even lose 5% of my shield. When I sides with them, it seemed way harder. And then, the megaship to cash in is depressing...almost no commanders there, hard to find the landing pad, no shipyard... :-/
I found the best way to deal with Capital ships was to work from extreme range, I tended to get much less fire from them if I was using long range weapons.

Yes but aren’t the ground CZs in the midst of buildings with targets up on roofs and down in underpasses, not good terrain for an SRV.

Ok, I think I'm missing out on something interesting. Will try using the SRV and will let you guys know how it goes 😊

Makes sense. I was flying my frag Python last night but can indeed guess how it would go with a long range railgun.
How many credits does this earn?

OK, found it:
750,000 credits, equivalent to taking down 3 Python's. My frags'd rather shred the latter than risking scratching my paint on the former ;)
Besides, I like capital ships for the ambiance, the more the merrier.

No idea it’s been years, it wouldn’t have been fixed mounts though, I tried seekers one time.

Good for crash sites and settlement missions, not very practical for ground CZs.

This, pretty much. Some NPCs will hide in unreachable places for the SRV guns. Plus you run the risk of getting blown up in your SRV.

The best way isndoing what is fun and learning new things. Farming to just get it wuicker for unexisting end-game is silly, and sounds like turning game into day job - a boring one, too.

Re the actual topic at hand - SRV can be wuite fun tonquickly notice dropships going for the edges of settlement, never allowing them to enter actual combat. It is also quite mandatory for PvP in combined arms scenario, to chase of rocket ships if someone manages to disarm AA turrets (or prevent them from trying to, lot of open space around those turrets).

Did it with friends fee times, such CG battles are lot of fun.

Gave my first try to ground CZ's yesterday. Got ~1-2 millions per 15 minutes run (over 2 millions for my last run actually).
Wondering if the presence of Frontline only at Steve Masters, and not at the megaship, is a reason the Federal CG is progressing faster than the Empire one.
I know that one does not need to use dropships for ground CZ's, and if you do you can still then fly to the megaship to cash-in the bonds like you would for space CZ's, but believe most players do not know that or/and don't want to do that.

Adding on top of this that siding with the Empire makes space CZ's harder, no shipyard at the megaship, etc...seems that these CG's are very unbalanced from the beginning.

There are no High Intensity Ground CZs, right? These would give you closer to 10 million credits per 10-15 minutes. I'm not sure medium ones are really worth it.

About space CZs being harder for the Empire, well I guess it is harder to steal a lolly from a toddler than it is from stealing it from a baby. But that doesn't really matter for experienced players with proper ships.

TTK vs bounty reward would be the only thing that matters and I assume the difference isn't all that big if there is one.

From what I can tell medium ground CZ gives close to 3m per round, which is still faster than any of the space CZs. It boils down to how fast you can wrap up a round, which is essentially making the enemy spawn faster by killing them faster. And the fastest way is to pound them into dust with double L-6s (with the clip upgrade so you have 3 per reload) right where they land. I assume this is how the other side is doing it too. Honestly, I don't really care who wins so long as I end up in the top 25% for both.
