Engineers Support Ship - Concordant Sequence & Regeneration Sequence

So how do Concordant Sequence & Regeneration Sequence work?
For both special effects to proc, you'll have to shoot directly at your wingman?
Do these special effects stack? i.e shooting 2 healing beams gives double regen.
Any numbers on the HoT effect & efficiency etc?
What 'Healer' builds will you guys recommend?

Have always played as a healer in MMOs so this caught my interest. I'm thinking of making a support/healer Anaconda specifically for party play but not sure how i'd go about doing it, should i use Pulse, Burst or Beam, Concordant or Regeneration Sequence for HoT or Burst shield healing respectively etc. And also the biggest issue, will turrets have advanced enough AI to switch between offensive mode and healing mode. IMO gimballed healing lasers aren't that optimal as it'll be single target healing but sort of burst(unless the proc don't stack) while turreted healing lasers is the best setup as each turret can heal a different wingmen for an AoE heal, provided there is an advanced AI to manage the spread healing and IFF(Indication of Friend or Foe) to switch between healing and killing.

According to inara only beam can run regeneration sequence. The effect should be persistent, it hurts anyone not a wing member and regens wing members. I don't know which would be more effective in what situation.

I applied this to my class 3 fixed beam and I love it.

Still works as a fixed beam laser against enemies, but if my healing beam is on you, you practically can tank anything.

Our shields disperse energy as light, why not be able to essentially reverse the process
That's a bit like wondering why I can't heat up the sun by connecting a battery to my solar cell.
The idea that a ship can take simultaneous fire from two beam lasers, one doing damage and the other repairing, is all a bit mickey mouse.

How does it work? Do you have to switch the turret to fix or target only, select your ally and fire manually to heal? Or the turret is auto lol?
The turret are target only, u just select the wingmate and fire, being a turret it follow the wingmate better.
Im trying to get the other beam as well but i dont have enough materials yet.

Yeah, he kept my alive in my FDL while I just sat there and got shot by like, 9 cops. My shield has good resistances, but still, it was crazy. XD Very strong effect, even used correctly.

So, what happens when you set that turret to fire at will? Will it completely ignoring wingmen, even if there is no hostile ship in fining arc/range? Highly interested in this.

Your analogy does not make any sense. Shields use energy to repel / block things from getting past them. A "healing beam" simply makes the shield absorb energy, thus restoring the shield.
If you must have a real world analogy, then it would be like turning the shaft of an electric motor in order to make it work as a generator.

Yeah since the healing ignores resistances it does full damage as healing.

Yes doesnt seems to work properly, you select the wingman and nothing happend. Even orienting the ship toward the wingman.
I hosetly dont use the fire at will function, doesnt optimize the damage...

Geh, won't aim for it then, healing DPS would be far lower than the damage DPS I could otherwise do targeting an enemy :p
Anyway, thanks for the answer!

The only question here I dare to ask is: why did the cops not switch to the one healing? The answer is clear, but I wish FD would do something about it.
