The whole issue makes me feel nauseous. I'm seriously considering my future in the game. Frontier are idiots on this one, not gonna beat about the bush.

As for the justification and comparison between this and real life. Hmmm.. If real life is so great why are we playing computer games? And if I want a rigged deck where things are totally unfair, yes I can 'play' real life.

Come find me says Mr Billionaire... Like who the hell are you anyhow? Some at whos benefitted from a bug and has a ship which empowers you far beyond a pitiful skill level you probably have. This all just sucks. :(

When did benefiting from bugs or exploits become acceptible?

Easy now.

Isn't there a point of diminishing returns in regards to credits and outfitting anyway? As in, there're are only so many credits you can possibly spend on an Anaconda before you've maxxed it out? You don't need to be a billionaire to have a maxxed out ship.

I accept that the value of someone's ship does not translate to their prowess as a pilot. How is this not negating your concerns about fairness and billionaires? So they have a big ship but can't fly it great. So shoot them down. Take something out of that fortune.

The only way it really has any negative impact on you is if you encounter one of them and they kill you. But... ANYONE could kill you, potentially even a bankrupt in a Sidewinder.

Its neither a bug nor an exploit. The devs made a mistake in fixing credit balances, I believe. I hope they did it on purpose myself.

If I can get a serious bounty on my head for others to collect, then it should be a challenge for them to collect it. What is so wrong with that? Bring a group of people. Kill me solo if you're good enough.

My objective now is to have fun while providing others with an incentive to take on a challenge. It's very possible that I'm the least skilled player in this game. So what? All the more reason for people to seek me out and try to collect an easy bounty.

You're the one imagining the game is somehow broken, which I honestly can't see, so maybe the one whose working a stronger imagination here is you?

But ah, it doesn't matter anyway - the spiteful and cruel have won over the eager, optimistic and generous. Hope you guys are happy that you managed to take something special from the few people who received it and dragged everyone down to your level.

Mr brooks already posted they are retarcting the bllions people made off the exploits and they dont get the choice to keep thier billions

Yes, we're aware of the new announcement, although it's not what you just said since you still seem to think anyone made billions off exploits, something they have said in every single announcement is not true. This threaded was started before the new announcement, and the post two above yours (mine), specifically mentions it's result.

The idea in the original post, however, that we should have some sort of lottery to create new billionaires "legitimately", still stands!

The game doesn't need to give random people all that money for them to build empires, once the game evolves to let people work together in groups better, and hopefully with the introduction of clans/groups/guilds/corps (etc) people can make giant money-making empires for themselves. If I'm going to be squished by a giant boot, I'd rather the person wearing it to fit it (so to speak).

On that note I see where you are coming from with the thread, I just don't think it should be given to people for free. Plus that was just way too much money.
You also seem to underestimate just how much it could break the game, and limit its future.

Then explain - because this has been said many times now, but no one has bothered to explain how it could. Especially since there's an effective power cap at "well equipped anaconda".

The devs are never going to let players build empires, or start corps, and are definitely not going to allow corp-empires.

And I'm well aware of the sort of people who are likely to ever earn billions on their own - phew, give me the randoms any day of the week, much less of a chance of them being terrible human beings or miserly recluses and a much better chance of them just being fun-loving regular people with the opportunity to spice things up.
