ACTIVE CG Support Winters's Forces in LP 855-34 (Mining)

This is a one-commodity CG. Set all but platinum to ignore all other mined commodities. Do not shoot anything that does not say "platinum".

It will be a pain to reset this after the CG.

Delkar 7 (great villain name) is a place where you fill up your raw materials fast.
Not difficult.
Keep cargo hatch closed for a couple of asteroids, shoot the fragments and open it only after removing the types from the list. Repeat as needed.

Originally I had a hiccup when I went to transfer the 225 tons from a Type 9 to a longer jumping Type 8. Most of the inventory disappeared and I got it back by exiting and re-logging in. I had to sell myself the Platinum to get it onto the Type 8. Is it possible the CG sees tis as a purchase rather then mining it myself?
It (likely) won't count for the CG if you sell and buy at FC as it is no longer 'mined'.

You must used the work-around discussed previously to keep trying to 'Transfer' to FC and 'Transfer' to Ship (keep trying loads smaller than 200T - it does work eventually).

Without a doubt, yes! Only use Transfer on your FC

Any idea why?
As per the PP ranking, Grom seems much bigger, with much many more systems than Winters (even Archon is bigger than her).

Was the Winters playerbase actively motivated to take over the system? The Galnet article was pretty much written like a player driven event (which I like very much!).
If so, I may take a breather at the ground CZs from time to time and side with them. I support any kind of player effort that makes the game feel alive!

I assumed it was obvious. It has nothing to do with NPC-story loyalty. Players just pick the winning side.

When the community event first went live, the sides were equal. As folks mined and turned in, one side started to eek ahead. When more players joined the event later (like me), they look at which side is doing better, and pick that, as the winning side will get more. So innately, why would anyone joing days into it pick the side that is losing? This tendency causes a lop-sided Winters effect as more folks join the now favored side. And now you can see the totals are well in support of Winters.

It's not that there's "more Winters" lovers in the game lol... folks just want to pick the obvious race winner so they can too win.

Moral of the Story: never commit to a community event when it first starts.

Glory Hunters - exactly like when I went to Africa in '90's, no one supported Chelski or Man City there, they were either Liverpool or Man Utd and maybe a few Arsenal (until more recently).

I was still in the top 25%, as of last night. Where in heck are all the carriers that are going to bury me?

I also expect lots of carriers full of rocks to unload at the last moment.

At least, there does not seem to be any lockdown brewing, although the security of the system sure is low...

Transferred goods will invalidate it for BGS & merits, last I checked.

Negative. Trading (ie buy/ sell) will change the flag, as it should. Store and retrieve from a carrier, however, works just fine. As it does for BGS and merits.

It's the same reason stolen (ie pirated) mined cargo can also be handed in to the CG.

tell me you havent read the thread without telling me you havent read the thread
Wow, I'm mildly curious to whisper, "... I haven't read the thread" just to see what happens next lol.

You're referring to this I assume, "Trading (ie buy/ sell) will change the flag, as it should. Store and retrieve from a carrier, however, works just fine."

Which I did read before, but only remembered part of that apparently, which was why I asked just now asked about it. My fault for not re-reading all pages of this thread before asking a silly question, or having a lapse in selective memory...

Thanks for the reminder (instead of just saying yes, FC transfers (not using market screen) will work).

literally on this very same page you have post from me linking to the empirical proof of transfered cargo being viable for the cg.
you want me to spoonfeed you and wipe your behind as well? cmon dude...

Thought it would not count to use plat horded in FC cargo and offload it all at once... that transferring it to FC changes the status. Needs to be in a "mined" status?
Kind Sir or Madam, I regret to inform you your prior understanding was flawed. Storing (or retrieving) a commodity via Carrier transfer does not change the origin of the commodity. Only a transaction, such as sell or buy, can affect the origin of the commodity.

The good thing is, knowledge is power and you can, therefore, as a potential carrier owner, now leverage that for future benefit. Enjoy.
