Surface Scan missions in Federations Space.

Good Day,

I have just returned to game recently after an long absence, I have been working on naval ranks to buy the rank locked ships, and prefer grinding the scan missions, I recently managed to get to Duke on Empire faction, but since Beyond dropped the scan missions in the empire controlled systems seem to have dried up,. fortunately I had just gotten the Duke rank and was about to look for similar missions in federation space, I visited a lot of systems looking but found very little in the way of scan missions, I even tried some of the system posted on some reddit forums that people were using such as Rhea, but there aren't any there any more, does any one know of any federation controlled zones where scan missions are readily available so I can continue my rank grinding? or has Frontier just made them so rare there no longer viable for grinding anymore?

Any help would be great.

Be very carefull with scan missions. Since 3.0 you will get a bounty (mind you a bounty not a a fine) for scanning Private Data points making these mission a heck lot more inconvenient and dangerous. Best to use a cheap throwaway ship. As for the quantity, I still find them in Alliance fringe space but also feel their numbers have been reduced...

Not really a fan of this change. Liked how relaxing these used to be

Thanks for the reponmse, Not really worried about the bounty, was getting those before., its just it was a nice way to grind the rank up , still havn't found anything in federation controlled areas, feels like its ninja nerfed

I believe something has changed as regards distribution of mission types. I can't say for sure it's bug as I haven't visited enough systems, but I visited two systems last night and in both, all the missoins were of a certain type with only literally two or three exceptions (one was all salvage missoins, the other was all delivery missions). I'm 'feeling' that something has gone wrong with mission variety, as I had never seen so many missions of the same type on one board before, but would be happy to be proved wrong.
