Swap my rail gun for ...?

Well my Python is an all-rounder for smuggling, combat and mild exploration. The two G. beams and G. Multis i have are shredding stuff already so another multicanon couldn't hurt.

All rails would just be a bit of a mess around setup for me or at least on a more agile ship.

I might try the frag canon at some point but my bet is on another multi, being able to deal more hull damge is always a plus. Then again the beams do a good job with that.

So i have a Python fitted with 2 large gimballed beams and 2 medium gimballed multi-cannons. That combination works really well however i also have a large B2 fixed railgun in the lower hardppint.

It's not seeing much use due to my reliance on the beams and trying to conserve and lower heat. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for something else i could replace it with. My idea is that a another kinetic wepon would help but i don't know what would work best and whether i should go fixed or gimballed.

Any help would be appreciated.

I say forget the heat damage. I run 3 lg gimballed beams and 2 med rails on my General Purpose Python. Wrecks other ships. Just carry an AFMU to repaired your fried wiring when you are done toasting the other ship.

Try 3 x large gimballed beams and 2 x plasma accelerators, most fun and efficient loadout I've found for my Python.
