Dear Park Managers
Welcome back to another Jurassic World Evolution: Complete Edition Feature Focus. We're merely a month away from the release on Nintendo Switch and we're incredibly excited to bring our beloved dinosaur park simulator to a whole new platform and a whole new community of players.
In the previous Feature Focus we talked about some of the work that went into bringing Jurassic World Evolution to a new console. You can read all about that here. Today, we wanted to discuss the different ways you can play the game.
Dinosaurs on the go
One of our favourite things about Nintendo Switch is that it's both a handheld and TV console, letting you seamlessly go from one to the other! Embracing that was very important to us when developing this version of the game: We wanted players to experience Jurassic World Evolution: Complete Edition both at home or on the go, in Handheld or Tabletop Mode, or on a TV, without losing features or content when going from one to the other. The game looks and plays great, no matter what your choose. It's fully playable as you would expect in Handheld Mode, or Tabletop Mode with detached Joycons or a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller.
In Handheld Mode you can take your dinosaurs with you and play Jurassic World Evolution on the go. Pick it up for a quick check-in during a trip, or settle down for a multi-hour play session in your own backyard, on the sofa, or maybe while visiting a natural history museum, when it's safe to do so of course! There's nothing like seeing a dinosaur skeleton in real life, and then seeing that same dinosaur being brought to life on your Nintendo Switch screen a few seconds later. We hope you'll give it a try when possible!
Coming home, all you have to do is drop your Nintendo Switch into its dock and voila: dinosaurs on your TV.
Dinosaurs at home
In Docked Mode you can experience the majesty and magnificence of the dinosaurs that were in your hands on your TV! The game will work exactly the same as in Handheld or Tabletop Mode.
As we mentioned in the previous Feature Focus, we've been working hard on optimizing the game to run within the capabilities of the console. It wasn't a small feat, and we're proud of what the team has accomplished. From the outset we've aimed for parity between the consoles running Jurassic World Evolution and Nintendo Switch running Jurassic World Evolution: Complete Edition.
It's also been our aim for there to be virtually no difference playing the game in Handheld Mode or Docked Mode and we hope you'll be able to enjoy Jurassic World Evolution: Complete Edition in both configurations. The game looks and plays great no matter what you choose.
That's it for this week's Feature Focus. Stay tuned to our official channels for any news and updates about Jurassic World Evolution: Complete Edition.
Coming up later in October, we'll be streaming the first ever live gameplay of Jurassic World Evolution: Complete Edition. Stay tuned to our official channels for the announcement, and join us on the stream when we go live. We can't wait to see you there!
