Switch on,

speak for yourself, i am spending as much time after midnight training for planetary landing and srv driving

good for you, really wish it was me, but when you have to get up at 6.45am ermmm it looks very un-appealing, REGARDLESS of how much I want this game!!!

Iv waited 2 years for this, another day not gona really matter, even if it is just the tutorials at midnight

Is this the info from the live stream that FDEV went out of their way to describe as place-holder text?

Yes and from the games main menu. Didn't know it's just a placeholder, thought this is the confirmation! So then let's cross our fingers for an early switch to on on tuesday!

When you load the game it says the servers are due to be on at 16:00 UTC (I have no idea what the heck utc means hehe)
but I'm going to need all the time I have until then to get the hang of docking with a controller, I'm not good lol.

Ok, I (or someone else) will probably repeat this for the next year, until even the PS4 players have understood it :D (it's one of the more reliably recurring threads in the forum).

UTC = Universal Time Coordinated = IGT = In Game Time
for all practical purposes, this is equivalent to GMT (there can be a few seconds difference, depending on whether you're an astronomer or not)
This is NOT the same as british time (or BST), which is one hour off ATM (and for the next few months, until DST is rolled back again).

That's the time that is displayed on your in-game clock (right side HUD), no matter where you are in the world.

On your left side HUD (comms panel), comms are tagged with your local time. For me, that's a two hour difference ATM.

Oh, and back to the servers: don't get your hopes up. This is the time when they are scheduled to be up again. From experience, in reality, it may be an hour earlier or three hours later, depending on how many new problems they find when they go live.

Lloyd hinted that the patch might drop early to help get us play sooner, but no guarantees and the usual announcement of an announcement nonsense

Usually with any day one launch you have to install the original game first then you have to install the patch.

I am really surprised with all these threads chatting about this, always same with a PS game launch;

1) Pre order digital copy on PS Store.
2) Install game around 24/48hrs in advance to your system.
3) On release day a patch is downloaded as they need to take into account hard copy owners.

This poor person will be out of town till after ALL you folks get your grubby little hands on it first .... Enjoy .... I'll catch up ....

We should be able to have tank tops - it can get hot in those ships, especially when fuel scooping or running silent!

Just because you're a pilot, doesn't mean you can't look fabulous besides, those flight suits are really nice looking
