Switching my Python to combat spec, what to upgrade first?

Frag Cannons are for Assaination missions, they don't have the ammo for anything else.

Stick with the fixed weapons, they do more damage and only take a little getting used to. I ran 3 Large Fixed Beams for ages, and that is a solid build IMHO. I'm now running 2 Large PA, 1 large Gimpled Pulse and 2 medium Gimpled Cannon....would love them all to be fixed, but that doesn't mesh well with the PAs.

You stated you were a Heavy Weapons Support platform in your Wing, so I raised an eyebrow with your pew pews and only 1 PA suggested loadout....try 2 large PA...that's fire support in my book :)

You hit the PP with those 2 large PA and it's game over...3-4 good salvos will take anyones shields down faster than they can spawn SCBs...which is nice.

I'll have to give it a shot, I currently have the PA on the bottom hardpoint and I'm finding it a little difficult to get a good drop on the subsystems sometimes (for some reason when I'm turning the reticle drags to the right, then takes a few extra long seconds to recenter) I might replace to the 2 topside Large HPs with the PA's and change to bottom to a large beam. (i might keep the beam as gimballed then to make it a bit simpler)

Know any good software for a logitech 3d proextreme to tweak the joystick settings? The slight deadzone (and yes I have it set to 0 and disabled in game) is making it very difficult to keep on the smaller targets with the fixed weapons.

Why would you put a 5A shield generator on the Python when it has three Class 6 internals? A 6D gives almost the same shield, weighs 4t less, takes 1200KW less power and most importantly costs 600k instead of 5 million

Because my memory told me I did that at one point. But I also remember wanting to fill the class 6 slots with cargo racks back then. :D You are right of course, 6D is the better choice for a budget combat build.

My Python has 2x Class 3 gimballed Pulse Lasers, 2x gimballed class 2 multi canons and one class 3 plasma accelerator.
The class 3 plasma accelerator looks total badass on the python. :D

Well this is mine for solo res's. Good for anything even multiple attacks 5 ships. I hit a roid yesterday with 2 pips to system and ended up with a broken canopy and 25% hull. I pretty much only use the cannon against Conda's and it burns through everything. I used to have class 2G multis but swapped em out for the pulses cos of having to dock up for ammo. Im no expert at this so any suggestions to improve the fit are welcome
