Synthesis Materials - Zirconium

Hi Chaps,

I'm looking for a source of zirconium. Do any of the barnacles drop it or can anyone identify a confirmed planet that has it in good quantities :S

Sorry, not helpful. Zirconium suddenly made me think of the above song, happy happy days. Dental floss tycoon. Either pure genius, or warped and out-of-earth mind. Sometimes, no different. Or perhaps "Same same but different".

I've yet to do any of this grabbing of materials, and when I do it will be through exploration so might yield some results; but if I find any when I finally get the chance to play again (hopefully circa 2018), I'll let you know :\

Electra 3 is definitely one where you just blast it out of the rocks. There are also some automated mining stations that can be blasted and their minerals robbed (for cargo).

I just mine the ring around Delkar 7 without a refinery. I get a ton of iron, sulphur, some manganese and chromium, and roughly once every 30 minutes, zirconium. I don't bother with a prospector drone, either, just deploy a collector drone and hit the rock with the lasers.

You can now see the mineral content of a scanned/known planet in the system map when you click on that planet it will show you the percentage of each mineral you are likely to find on that planet in the second tab of the system information window on the left. The lower percentage minerals obviously require a bit more time to locate.

When you scan a planet it now tells you that the materials have also been added to the data for that planet.
