System navigation via bookmarks?

I may be missing something here.

As all know when you bookmark a system on the galactic map it is now easier to find for future visits. Nice feature.

However you can also bookmark certain stations within that system. Fine too.

I had hoped (or am missing it) that when you bookmarked a station you could now select it from the galactic map as a plotted destination without having to wait the 7-10 seconds for the system map to open up to select it there. Hope that made sense...

Am I missing something? Is there a way to select a bookmarked station from the galactic map bypassing the system map?

You can access the Bookmarks from the Galaxy map. Even Bookmarks that link to planets or stations in a system. There is a tab across the top of the Galaxy map UI that looks like a .... well Bookmark. Click on that and all of your Bookmarks are listed. Click on one, and you get three options; Edit, Delete, and Plot Course.

It is one of those "how we did cope without it" features. What would make it even better though is if we could add/view bookmarks from the Navigation Panel

What would make it better for me is if the system bookmarks were listed underneath (or next to, possible in a tree view type of thing) the star bookmarks so that it is easier to find the bookmarks you have for a give system. Currently they are all listed alphabetically. Unless there is a setting I am missing to enable this on X-Box one.

A tree view would be nice. I just prefix the star name to the bookmark if I care about the system name, or maybe the Engineer's name, and organize them that way.

Yes a "tree view" would be excellent.
You would have thought that would have been a standard feature in the whole thing.
Or the ability for you to drag them up/down to reorder them.
