System State 'None'

I can understand why FD reset all the system states to None as a way of leveling the playing field with the upgraded BGS mechanics that came out in 3.3.

Since I don't get too involved in the BGS I have limited knowledge of it's operation and nuances so can anyone tell me how long it takes for the state to change (I am guessing on the weekly server tick but have been known to be wrong here so many times)?

Yes the reason I am asking is some of the mats are dependent on the system state to spawn, and with no system state they just aren't popping up.

It takes much more effort to move between the states now. You probably want to try and work a system to create the state you're interested in. Lockdown/Civil Unrest, for example, won't "Just happen" because a bunch of people spam-killed cops overnight.

Expansion carried through from 3.2
The first Elections/Wars/Civil Wars started rolling out a day or two ago.

Some factions are starting to get borderline Boom/Civil Liberty now things have been running for a few days.
A couple factions are getting -ve results, heading to unrest/bust.

Its a daily thing but it depends on the size of the faction now.
Previously it was more or less driven by single system health, if a big faction was working a single system it would more than likely have put them in boom.
Now to get to boom a large faction has to work multiple systems into a good position, the larger the more systems.
So what you'll find is its harder for pmfs especially larger ones to get into any kind of states, however its should be fairly easy for small factions to get into various states.
The big thing now is its much less likely for factions to go into negative states unless someone is actively working against them, outbreak is now a random state so not prompted by neglect.
