Hardware & Technical T-16000m or Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas ?

Having used the T. Flight Hotas X for a week know I am really disappointed with the large dead zone, aiming is far from precise which is a big hindrance especially in dogfights. I am thinking of getting a T16000M instead. Know would it be possible to use a T. Flight Hotas together with the T16000M ? I would really like to keep using the throttle on the T. Flight.

Absolutely. I've tested both units and was using the t1600 with the thrustmast x stick when I found throttles weren't my thing. Voice attack just obviates a traditional throttle when a 2nd joystick gives you so much precision and you can 25, 50, 75, 100 and increment by 10 via voice while not fighting/docking. You can use it the opposite way as well, just depends what you map. Hats however often conflict. Now using a x52 pro(R) and t1600(L), throttle for cobra and up mass wise cuz the lateral/vert is gelded bad.

Oh and magnetic sensor sticks are the way to go performance and price wise. The functionality will persist much longer maximizing your investment. So ya, I'd go, on a budget a T1600 and a seperate throttle or whatever. KB, gamepad, joystick, trackball I dunno.

Exactly what I have done. Hotas-X for the throttle and the T16000M.
Just plug into 2 different USB ports. Remap the T16000M joystick settings
Hide the on Hotas-X joystick behind the monitor

:)

Just to let you know the joystick of the T. Flight Hotas started malfunctioning yesterday, after one month of almost daily use (1 - 2 hours/day). When I pull back the stick completely (to pitch) just when reaching the end, you can feel a little resistance and then pop it reverses the input signal completely 180, meaning instead of pulling up you start nosediving. I re-calibrated the stick using Thrustmasters calibration tool but to no effect. Now for the price I did not expect this thing to last long but one month is slightly disappointing. For now I am using the Throttle of the T. Flight together with my T.16000M until I find the money to buy myself a decent high dollar Hotas.

I have the Thrustmaster T.16000M and have been trying to set up the control options. Is there any way to get the throttle slider set up to control simple thrust? (sorry if this is a newbie sort of question!)

We start all as newbies at some point, so no need to apologize. Although I don't use the throttle on the T.16000M I found out that under Options->Controls by clicking on increase throttle and then moving the throttle to the up position and on the decrease throttle setting pull the throttle down I got it to work. Binding the throttle axes alone won't work as you probably found out. ;) Good luck and fly safe !
