T-rex and Velociraptor, not compatible any more??

I've started to play JWE again after a couple of months of playing Elite Dangerous. I've had a big enclosure with a T-rex, a couple of Dreadnoughtus and a group of 6 Velociraptors who all lived together in peace. But when i started playing again this week, i suddenly noticed that my T-rex started killing all of my Velociraptors. So, i bred some new ones, but again the T-rex killed them.I then tried what would happen if i put some Dilophosaurus in the enclosure and that seems to work out.

Has something changed with the latest patch so T-rex and Velociraptor cant co-exist in one enclosure any more? Just like they always seem to be fighting in the first 3 movies?

It is a new feature added to the game through the recent big update. It’s a raptor and rex interaction only, made to also be of special use and nostalgia if you have the Return to Jurassic Park DLC and play through its campaign.

No, the interaction happens at any time and anywhere in the game. It only happens "normally" if the rex's hunger meter is at a certain low point. When that happens, they go into their "Hunting" behavior status. Usually, from what I've seen, they don't hunt the raptors to feed on them like with everything else, they hunt the raptors mostly to get rid of the competition.

I think it did it more persistently in the campaign because I suspect it was scripted to be so.

In the Return to Jurassic Park DLC update, the T-Rex can kill the raptors, just like in the movie.
