T9 Beta jump range

You don't by any chance own a Cutter? Bought one myself not much more than a week before the news broke.
Oh well. Cutter for long haul, T-9 for short. I actually like flying the T-9 more.
I am a Cutter owner here as well, but I think these buffs to the Type-9 are spot on. As I have said before I may even switch because I prefer the look and feel of the Type-9. Frontier did a great thing when they fixed the Type-9 so it now as a competitive niche in the game. CMDR’s who aspire to be top end space truckers now have a choice. Properly equipped, the Cutter and the Type-9 are both capable of being top end trading ships for bulk cargo, CG’s, and haulage.
The buff to mass and thus jump range is an unexpected bonus and I am going to kit out a Type-9 in Beta on Friday which is my next play session.

Type-9 is great. I’m sure I will see more on my travels. However it’s pretty obvious that quite a few arguing for more capacity, were doing so on principle grounds, not practical.
Nope not everyone wants to fly the Cutter, but I think many felt compelled to because it just carried so much more cargo. I am going to seriously evaluate the *new* Type-9 myself even though I do have the Cutter already. For me the Type-9 has a nicer cockpit, is a cooler looking ship, and now has comparable hauliung capacity. Yeah I lose some defensive capabilities but that’s what I have my Type-10 for.

I doubt it, despite having a better cockpit. Seeing as a lot of the exploration community are overly obsessed with range, it doesn't even come close. Judging from the screen shots, the 3A power plant suggests a stripped down, max range build (though maybe the OP could have gone with class 6 D thrusters or even 5D). With that kind of build you can get pretty much the same range in an unengineered Anaconda. I've certainly heard of Anacondas with 67 ly jump ranges being mentioned.
That being said, you could certainly get to Colonia with a full load as long as you didn't run into any pirates.
Bear in mind that pirate commanders will frequently use weapons that disable your FSD first 
Using the Oculus CV1, for both HMD's, starport services appears as a 80+ inch curved screen inside the bridge of the ship, sufficiently far away to be comfortable. The commodity market appears as a flat screen. Unfortunately screenshots can't properly convey being in VR
Nice! After the Q4 updates hit I'm upgrading (hoping for the Pimax 8k to turn out well), but will also need a new computer too! Hopefully Newegg will take galactic credits.
Ya know, exploration is my primary passion in ed, however, for some reason I also really like space trucking! Seemingly boring game play still captivates me even to this day! So the buff to the type-9 really excites me as I've never really flown one for an elongated time. Nice job fdev
