So, I know the AX 1 F says it's good against Tharg, but does that mean that it's not as good against regular? Because if it still does normal damage to regular ships then the increase in dps and pitch make it better than the Gelid, but if the Tharg weaponry makes it less effective against regular then it'll be better for me to keep the Gelid.

I read somewhere that human shields and hulls have a base 50% resistance to all AX damage types, guardian hardpoints included, but that might have been changed since then, it was posted several years ago.
When they released AX F, it did full damage against human ships too, so it was obvious pick. They nerfed it eventually, and now it's not good against human tech. On AX topic, they nerfed Fighters even against goids, so it's useless to take one.
Concur, AXF even useless against scouts!
