Tales from the Colonization of the Trails Blazed

It was a dark and stormy night on HIP 666 6 a, a sulphur dioxide (brimstone, of course) thin atmospheric landable moon. Foreman Guy stood at the nearly-finished small Tourism settlement and remembered that the planet's atmospheric pressure at the surface was 0.01 atm, which is too low to have any storms. "Whatever" he thought, "I'm not paid to think, thinking is what the AIs are meant to do." He looked at the person next to him: Alice Bob, a person who's too generic to have a detailed description. "Now there's a fine example of natural stupidity."
Little did he know that Alice Bob was actually a secret member of the Dark Wheel, the real deal, the actual secret organisation meant to keep the secret of Raxxla a secret. But he was also a double agent of the Far God, and a clone of a legendary unknown ghost commando. Far more important than generic guy Guy, who didn't even get a first name, and (spoiler)
never will
.

Reality suddenly stuttered as an Imperial Cutter appeared 10 km above their heads. "That must be the CMDR instancing in", Bob remarked. Guy nodded. "Cheap . But when he lands and delivers that last 1 T of Fruit and Vegetables we need to finish building this place, we're finally done here."
"Cheap? How?"
" has enough money to buy a fleet carrier, but won't hire people to deliver the things we need. Nooo, we have to wait until he does all of it himself." Foreman Guy was quite irritated. He knew that they could bring the entire settlement into existence in one minute, as soon as the CMDR was gone, if they had all the necessary materials. But because they didn't, they had to spend days doing nothing.
"Oh no, you have to spend days doing nothing and getting paid for it. How terrible." Alice Bob said. The Thargoids gave him telepathy and meta knowledge. "Look sharp, he's coming in to land."
""He"", the foreman spat. (Which is not a great idea when you're wearing a spacesuit.) Both of them knew full well that the CMDR used an advanced docking computer, and slammed into the ground when landing. Every. Single. Time.

Guy suddenly lit up, because he had an idea. "Hey man, I have an idea! After he leaves, let's just erase the large landing pad when we finish the place." Alice Bob: "What, why?" The Foreman grinned. "Because the Thargtard made us wait so much, let's waste his time when he next comes in and finds that he can't land his precious Cutter here anymore."
Bob shrugged. He would argue against this bad idea, but that would have been a bad idea, because the guy was the foreman. Besides, the mandatory building schematic did in fact erase the large landing pad. He suspected trouble, and he was also offended that the Guy would use the Thargoids' holy name as an insult, and a bad one at that.
"Okay, but the instant we do that, I'm out of here."

So they did just that. Large landing pad: poof, gone. So was Alice Bob, who vanished before the CMDR paid tribute to the automated gods to rename the place to "Truly Base".

As Alice Bob would later find out, it was a good thing he got away: the next time the CMDR went there, he was so angry that he couldn't land his Cutter that he landed it right beside the settlement instead, and disembarked to massacre Foreman Guy and everyone else at the outpost. Bob looked at the bounty posted on the serial killer, and sighed. The lives, hopes and dreams of all these people were apparently worth fewer Cr than what ten canisters of Titanium would have cost. Of course, he also stole everything from the settlement that wasn't nailed down, because while guards thought that Commanders always respected the law, he knew that in reality, all CMDRs are loot goblins.
Bob shaked his head disapprovingly, then looked at the wall. "This is why you guys will never find Raxxla."
