Target and module panels

I fly in an Eagle with my DK2 head calibrated lower than my virtual head height, so that when the DK2 is on my real physical face, my virtual view is higher than my virtual head and i can see out the virtual windows without any of the virtual popup menus blocking my view. Well it wasn't that much of an issue for me anyway, so just in case it helps.

I have a technique I use when I go sightseeing (aka. exploring) and prefer an unimpeded view to the sides.
What I do is slouch down in my seat and then reset the Rift position from there, then I sit back upright and 'Viola!' I can look out the side windows and not activate the panels. In order to activate the panels I only need to look sideways and slightly down towards the floor.
.
My real advice though is to invest in an inexpensive joystick.

Something that I don't think has been said, is this.

Drop all the pretty toys in the bin and just use the keyboard, after all, everything thing is there and it adds to the challenge.

Arry.

There is a keybind to Disable UI Pop up (named something like that).

I use it with HOTAS, not sure how it will work with WASD/Mouse.

Is there a keybind to ENABLE UI popup and have it not popup by default. I "look around" my ship a LOT more than I look side to side to activate the UIs. I would like to hold or toggle a button to enable, rather than to disable.

set it to the M mode button on your X55 or your 3-position hold buttons on the X52 and feel the peasants rejoice bruh
