Taxi service?

I’ve heard rumours of players offering taxi services with their fleet carriers? Is this true? If so, where would I find out more information about this? I’m currently docked in Explorers Anchorage, in my dolphin, and it’s just over 600 jumps to the bubble, which I’d rather not do, if it can be avoided.

There is shipyard here? If there is, then there is much quicker way than any FC would bring ya back.

Buy a cheapest ship, store ur dolphin, and with that new ship do selfdestruct. Once at rebuy screen you can chose to not take rebuy, and there is option to take free-winder and you will respawn at start area, wichever you have with it. Instant teleport to bubble. (In my case starter system is LHS 3447)

You can use shipyard to bring your ship left at station, but it probly take several hours for it to bring it back, and it probly will cost bit more than ship worth itself. Still it should be not more than few millions.

I thought about that, but was just wanting to do something different.

IIRC, there isn't a shipyard at Explorers Anchorage, for exactly that reason.

However, 600 jumps from Sag A* to the Bubble implies that you're using normal jumps, not neutron-boosting (which quadruples your jumprange). The Spansh neutron-route plotter (which does a much better job than the in-game plotter for chaining neutron jumps) is here:

I’ve never done the neutron jump before, but I guess it won’t hurt to try it. Is it hard to do?

Closest non-Fleet Carrier shipyard is in Lux Caeli near Colonia, 11k Ly so less than half the distance from Explorers Anchorage.
Do the cylon taxi from there (or a FC)

If you join the FC Discord you will see a carrier that is due to leave Sag A tomorrow and is heading to the bubble.

You will need to scroll down to the Hitchhikers section then look at 'bubble➡️⬅️sag-a'.

Not too bad, neutron stars are small and the jets are big. Just swoop into one (heading outward from the star) and zero the throttle. Eventually you'll get the knack of not hurtling straight through it and travelling along it until you get the "supercharged" message.

You'll need to break off to scoop hydrogen occasionally (watch your fuel gauge). And you'll eventually need to use an AFMU to repair the accumulated damage to your FSD.

Maybe when I get back to the bubble, I’ll mess around with with it. Want to make sure o have all the stuff I need.

Thanks. Is there a cost for this?
No. In fact you don't even have to let the FC owner know that you are on board. Just be there before he leaves.

Personally I nearly always take a mining laser with me when exploring so that I can mine some Tritium fuel for the carrier during any overnight stops, assuming there are any.

Apart from that, just get on board and sit back whilst you are taken home. You can even log out too.

Using Discord is good to keep in touch with the carrier owner, just in case any real life crap gets in his way of sticking to his flight plan.

This is awesome. Thank you. I haven’t done any mining for a while, so I’m going to have to relearn it.
